A 13-year-old central Illinois boy was struck and killed by a Canadian National Railway train last month.
Kyle Tyler Vandeveer, of Charleston, was struck by the train as he was headed to his grandfather's house, reports say. Jefferson County Sheriff officials say the boy's grandfather lives in Bluford, and the teen was known to enjoy walking on the train tracks.
His body was found under a railroad trestle in Bluford, about 85 miles southwest of Charleston, and officials say they don't suspect foul play in the boy's death. The Illinois State Police, Jefferson County sheriff and coroner and the railroad company are investigating.
