An Ohio man was found dead in a backyard pool after police and fire crews were called by the victim's stepdaughter, said reports.
The 16-year-old girl had pulled the victim to the side of the in-ground pool by the time paramedics arrived. She reportedly stated her stepfather didn't know how to swim. But he also appeared to have a facial injury, indicating he may have fallen and hit possibly knocked himself unconscious before falling into the pool. Medics pulled him all the way out of the water and pronounced him dead.
The deceased, identified as Awaaz Abdelaatiali, was 51 years old. Although accidental drowning is the initial cause of death, that won't be confirmed until after an autopsy and other forensic testing is completed.
