Denton Day Care Checked After Infant Death

A Denton day care is being checked by Child Protective Services after the death of a four-month-old girl died earlier this month.

The daycare, Too Kool for School, discovered four-month-old Sophia Worsham limp and unresponsive recently during school hours. Employees called 911, but the child succumb and was pronounced dead.

Reports say the baby may have been medicated by the parents, but that fact, nor if it could have contributed to her death were only matters of speculation. Denton police have not filed charges against the day care.

Although the day care is licensed to care for 12 children, reports say the facility could have had as many as 30 children, but there was apparently some confusion, since another day care resides next door.
