Reports say a white 2009 Acura traveling northbound on Northland Dr. reportedly ran the red light at the intersection of Northland Dr. and Balcones Dr. as a tan 1997 Ford, driven by Federico Orozco, entered the intersection and was struck by the Acura. Two suspects were arrested in a fatal traffic accident at 3200 Telephone Road, Houston, TX that occurred in the evening early in October. In an ironic tragedy, Australian Matthew Appleby drowned on the day he was to take his exam to earn his lifesaving medallion. Gosford, Australia officials announced the tragic coincidence after Appleby, 16, was found on Forresters Beach two weeks after he was reported missing.
