Child Injured in Escalator Accident

A toddler became seriously injured earlier this year when his left leg became trapped between the escalator skirt and the side of escalator while descending the escalator.

The accident, which occurred when the unnamed child somehow caught his foot in the device and then was pulled into the side of the steps of the conveyance, left the child with injuries to both legs. But the end result was serious injuries to his trapped leg, with some parts of his leg being broken and the skin being ripped off as well.

It is unknown whether or not doctors were able to save the leg. An investigation was continuing to discover the exact cause of the accident.  Make sure the shoes laces are tight and shoes used are appropriate when taking escalator.
