A driver of a Lexus struck and killed and unidentified 57-year-old man who was crossing the street at North Beale Road west of Yuba Community College in Sacramento, reports say. Thomas M. Roberts, 50, of Newark, CA has reportedly been charged on two counts of second-degree murder, drunken driving and drug charges that resulted in the death of two. The accidents that caused the deaths were reported to have started last month on Interstate 505 near Winters when Roberts struck the median while headed southbound. A pilot and passenger flying an experimental plane were injured late last month when the aircraft crashed at Northern California’s Rancho Murieta Airport. A Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority conductor, a 24-year-old transgender man with 22 months on the job, was texting his girlfriend when his trolley rear-ended another trolley, reports say.
