Houston police were continuing their investigation of a fatal traffic accident that occurred in the 9400 block of Westheimer early laps month. The incident occurred when the male driver of a Ford Explorer driving westbound on Westheimer and approaching Westerland suddenly crossed the center median. 35-year-old Marlowe Young apparently tried to swim to shore from a pontoon boat he and three friends had rented from a nearby marina recently when he drowned. He was not wearing a life jacket.
