A 16-year-old Huntington Beach girl is recovering in the hospital after nearly drowning while drinking alcohol in an apartment complex pool, say reports. The pool accident occurred earlier this month at the Ocean Air Apartment Homes, a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean. Airline Mechanic Dies on Job

A Delta Airlines mechanic was killed when the landing gear doors in the wheel well area of an Airbus A319 that was to depart to St. Louis at 7 AM somehow malfunctioned or activated and killed him. Fisherman Dies in Channel Collision

One fisherman died after another fishing boat rear-ended his boat last month, throwing him into the Cal-Sag Channel in Illinois, reports say.
