Father and Son Die in North Carolina Lake

Mill Spring, NC father and son drowned in a North Carolina lake after they jumped in to try and save a young child in their care from  drowning last month. Reports say 48-year-old William Butch Jackson and 21-year-old William Butch Jackson Jr. were fishing from their small boat on Lake Adger when the elder Jackson’s young daughter fell in the water. Indiana Student Drowns in Lake Accident

A 13-year-old Crown Point student at St. Mary’s Catholic Community School died in what appeared to be an accidental  drowning last month at Hermit Lake, reports conclude. Sean Woods, who lived in Merrillville, Indiana, was attending a friend’s party when he somehow slipped below the water and drowned. College Student Killed By Train

A train accident on May 31 took the life of 22-year-old SBBC student Stanford Heath Allison Jr. According to reports, Allison was struck and killed by an Amtrak passenger train as it made its way into the station. Reportedly, he had walked around the dropped traffic control arms and onto the tracks on a busy intersection. Allison died at the scene. An Amtrak train hit and killed a teenager as she was on her way to school, after which service was suspended for some time in the Baltimore area as an investigation searched for caused of the accident. Electrical shock is being investigated as a factor in the  drowning of a Bridgeport teenager at Stonewall Jackson Lake, West Virginia, reports say.
